Gimmie A Chance!

Do you know what it is like to be surrounded by people 24/7? Some will say yes, no, maybe or not even reply.
Let me CLARIFY, do you know what privacy is? Good because I don't.

Let me explain this a little further: Privacy is something I didn't grow up know with. You see my mom is a single Mexican mom. Unfortunately she doesn't have papers, green card people. She had/s to work minimum wage for a long time and running...
  •  PLEASE don't judge. I respect everyone's opinion about illegals and would love to hear your opinion but this isn't the time.
...as I was saying, so I didn't have the best things when growing up and I still don't. As a child I learned to act a certain way: faking my feelings. On the outside I would be happy that my cousin, friend or whomever got something nice but on the outside I was enraged! How could that person get everything they want when I was struggling. All I wanted the basics: food, decent clothes, ect and most of the time I got that but as a young child growing up I wanted more...
  •  Looking back at this, I appreciate it more. I learned to cherish more than most people at my age because of the hard experiences I had.
  •         I love this song lyric from Brother Ali, Album: Truth is Here, Song: Begin Here
"A lot of people waiting for their big break to make it; You going spend your all life waiting until you learn that anything given to a man can be taken; Only thing that's ever really yours is what you earn"
.... I always felt that I put up with some much and watched plenty of others that did/ did not deserve it why wasn't getting my dues? We can get more into that another day.

According to the Merriam-Webster Diction,
Privacy: the quality or state of being apart from company or observation. It is also "freedom from unauthorized intrusion."

Both apply to what the statement I'm trying to make. Let's divulge one the first one. The state of being apart from company or observation.
Most of my life I have not had a room to myself, some of you are thinking so what me too, well did you have to live in a room NOT HOUSE with your sister, brother better yet MOM! Okay, I don't see many people raising their hands. Well I did. 24/7 someone has always been there with me. It is such a blessing that it is also a curse. When I changed someone was there! Obviously we had some space but you can envision some awkward moments. I have lived in a garage, room, living room with my mom my ENTIRE life. Gimmie a break! or a Snickers because I'm totally over this 21 years into it.

Now I like the second definition as well: freedom from unauthorized intrusion.

My mom as I stated is Mexican! As many have unfortunately experienced they like to know everything about your life. Rule number one as a Hispanic child: It is not your life to enjoy but your moms to rule. If you have friends well they want to know everything! Their Social Security, Where they live, what they look like, do they do drug. In fact most of the time, they want to meet your friends parents and become friends with their parents to make things more awkward. Thanks mom!
So my mom read my texts or as I should say we shared phones so she would read everything I got. She even went on my phaseboo, facebook. Seriously say it like that: phaseboo, that how it sounds hearing it from them. As you can see if my phone wasn't off limits everything else wasn't either.

So that's a brief overview of my story. What I will be bring to you. Are you in for a ride?

P.S. Excuse my writing style. I kind of jump over the place but try to keep it somewhat in place. I can use any wonderful tips and tricks.

I like the writing style, just work on your grammar.
"She had/s to work.." Not sure where you were going with that. "On the outside I would be happy that my cousin, friend or whomever got something nice but on the outside I was enraged!" Outside is being used twice. Little mistakes, but just wanted to point it out. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Ysabel. That's what I was thinking about the had/s. Not sure what was going to up with me. You know I talk fast, read fast, so I guess I think faster than I write.
